Maddy and Ally’s Orchard Wedding
Maddy and Ally's Orchard Wedding
Rock, Roll ‘n’ Romance made for a beautiful and intimate celebration in the shaded glades of Teybrook Orchard.
How did you meet?
We met on a dating app, and very quickly knew that this was a serious thing. We got engaged after a little over a year, and have a two year old daughter together. I proposed at a wishing well, asking Maddy to make a wish, and when she turned around was on one knee. We had our ceremony and reception at Teybrook Orchard on the 25th of May 2019.
What did you want from your day?
We wanted an outdoors festival feeling wedding, that was a bit different from a traditional wedding, which would reflect who we are and how we wanted our day. We were inspired by Rock’N’Roll Bride examples of boho outdoors weddings, and built our ideas around that
Choosing your venue
We found some venues online, and Teybrook Orchard was the first we visited. We visited the other Browning Bros. venue, Chalkney Water Meadows after, but loved Teybrook Orchard because of how intimate it felt. We went away with the intention of visiting other places and considering options, but actually our minds were made up so we booked the orchard!
We loved that we could build on what we wanted, use the space the way we had it in our minds, and could put together our perfect wedding down to the smallest touches.
The Day Itself
Everything at the orchard was so self-contained which we loved. Our guests could arrive, and be there until the next morning. The staff were supportive and helpful, and we loved the team effort on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday to put everything together and take it all down. We loved that our guests could stay, and that we could access the orchard for the full three days. It was also great that we had a choice of accommodation for ourselves. Our parents used the glamping options and five tents were erected by guests. The facilities were great, and having our guests to stay added to the small intimate vibe we wanted. Maddy and her bridal party used the pool-house to stay and get ready onsite. We used the open wider space for the reception and the smaller quieter glade for the ceremony. Chloe Lee was our photographer and captured the day beautifully.
