Using The Hot Tub

We are incredibly careful about cleaning our hot tubs between guest bookings, and to do this properly we have to follow a specific set of guidelines which takes time. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot guarantee that the hot tub will be up to full heat upon check in, and for your first evening in our cabins. We want to make sure you are aware of this at the time of your booking so you are not disappointed, and we hope that you can enjoy the rest of the cabin’s facilities instead, and wake up the following morning to enjoy the hot tub and lakeside views.

Local Attractions

If you fancy some exercise there are some beautiful walks in the neighbouring ancient woodland, a 10 minute walk from the cabin. If you are interested in an excursion there are many nearby local attractions within a half hour drive. Eat delicious seafood and famous rock oysters on Mersea Island. Explore Essex’s long coastline, from Maldon up to Frinton and Clacton-on-sea and as far afield as Aldeburgh and Southwold. The local city of Colchester is the oldest recorded town in the country with a stunning castle and thriving high street. For families and children there is the local Colne Valley Steam Railway Museum and Colchester Zoo.
